Is Pantene Pro-V Total Care Shampoo a consumer convenience good or a shopping good?
It’s for my marketing project but i cannot seem to get over this dilemma…
A shampoo is considered to be a convenience good as it is purchased frequently by the consumers and not much of thought is given to it before buying it, if the customer/consumer does not take higher time for purchase decision process to switch over to other brand due to non availabililty then the item is categorised as convenient goods , whereas for a shopping good , evaluation of alternatives considering brand and other factors for that product taking more time considering the alternatives then it is shopping good. the link might be more helpfull
