is it better to lift 3 or 4 days a week to increase maximum strength?

I lift weights monday tuesday thursday and friday. My goal is to increase force in my legs so I exercise them monday and friday. tuesday and thursday I work upperbody. I have noticed an increase in strength in my legs but more so in my upper body which I actually want the opposite. So is it better to do a mon, wed, fri, routine?

I’d say yes – so long as there is at least one day rest inbetween each session of training. I do c/v on Mon/Wed/Fri and weights on Tue/Thur/Sat, and it works well for me.
