Helpful advice for a new *spare time* Mary Kay consultant?
I’m seriously thinking about becoming a MK consultant…I’m a teacher and would primarily focus on sales during the summer when I don’t have a full-time job. I would do sales whenever convenient during the school year. Any good suggestions from MK consultants would be appreciated!

I have been with Mary Kay almost three years now. I started while i was working a full time job and found it easy to fit in my day. My director had a saying open your mouth and you open your business it was true. i wore my Mary Kay pin everyday. I was able to quit my full time job last Nov to stay home with my children. I am still doing it part time. I do play dates with other moms and Saturday morning appointments from my home. It works well for me. Being a teacher is great because unlike me I wasn’t allowed to bring things into my work place at lot of MK Consultants go to schools to get leads and your already there. Think of all the time and money you can save people for holidays and such. I personal loved when people brought things to me and I didn’t need to go to a mall or make another trip to buy gifts and things. I have a few customers with teens and they are doing MK Easter baskets instead of candy.
If you are hesitating I always say what do you have to loose if you try? Do you like the product? and is it worth the $100 investment to give it a try? Good luck and feel free to email me if you need to talk more!
