How revitalize an Alfredo Sauce that has been in the freezer?

It was homemade Alfredo made from Cream Cheese. It has thickened up considerably so I need to thin it down and also add some bulk so that there is enough for everyone.

You could add a little cream and warm it slowly. If you heat it at a high heat, it might separate and look curdled which is not very appetizing. Add a little extra grated parmesan if needed to thicken it. Garlic that has been minced finely with a tablespoon or two of butter will add to the flavor.
