How can I keep my hair healthy?
What are some good ways to maintain healthy hair? I know all the basics, but any extra tips that aren’t commonly known?
I’ve just got thick, dry hair.
*Any good ways to prevent split ends?

i had the same problem on the opposite side of the spectrum really dry super fine hair. it is a lot better now.
deep condition your hair once a week, buy a thick conditioner or if you don’t mind the smell, beer and mayonnaise(not miracle whip etc.) work really well. apply to clean hair, wrap it in a warm towel and leave it for about twenty minutes or so then rinse out. you can then apply a leave in treatment concentrating on the ends specifically(especially a good idea if you go the mayo/beer route)
Do not wash your hair every day see what works best for you i found washing every third day helped a whole lot.
If you have to blow dry your hair, use a hair dryer with ion infusion (YES they really do make a difference). again with styling use irons etc. that are ceramic or have infrared heat, they do far less damage to your hair.
finally change your shampoo and conditioners every now and then, your hair and scalp will adapt to them and return to it’s natural state. Also speaking of shampoo it may be noted that cheap shampoos use cheaper synthetic mass produces ingredients. The quality of the shampoo and conditioner is VERY important to promote healthy hair. John Frieda Red/Blonde/Brunette Lines are good for about $10.00/bottle or right now i am using Nexxus super hydrating shampoo is $10 conditioner is $15. works great:)
