This is one of the largest and most densely populated cities in the world where it is a thrill to simply watch the traffic. Take a walking tour of the city starting at the Chapultepec Woods and visit the many museums along the route, such as the Anthropological National Museum and the Museum of Modern Art. La Feria is the oldest amusement park in the city and Los Pinos is the official residence of the president of the country. Shop in the affluent Polanco district where the malls are truly exquisite. Visit Templo Mayor to see the origins of Mexican culture and spend a day meandering the cobblestone streets of the Coyoacan District where there are gardens, quaint stores and many restaurants.
The resort town of Acapulco has been featured in many films and is famed for its beauty along the Pacific Coast. It is the ideal vacation destination if you want to stroll around the town. Cliff diving at night is one of the most popular attractions as is a visit to the Fuerte de San Diego that once provide protection against the pirates that roamed the coast. The Zona Dorada area has been compared to Sunset Boulevard and contains a large number of exclusive shops, if shopping is on your list of things to do. The sandy beaches have cabanas you can rent if you want to spend the day swimming in the ocean or engaging in the many watersports along the beach. The resort hotels offer all kinds of amenities, from multiple pools to exotic gardens and opportunities to play golf and tennis.
Puerta Vallarta is another popular destination as are the many resort towns along the Yucatan Peninsula. Wherever you do decide to spend your vacation in Mexico, it will be one that you will remember for the rest of your life.
