how long is recovery after seriously torn and detached retina surgery?

i still have a major floater and veil in the eye 2 months after surgery . cannot read well with only left eye [the operated one] when will it heal if ever completely ?

i can’t give you a definite answer but from my experiences (i’ve had 4 detached retinas. twice in each eye) if you still have a floater after 2 months post-op the floater is there to stay.

although if you had a gas bubble placed in your eye depending on the type of gases that were used it could still be the gas bubble you are seeing and not a floater at all. if thats the case then it will go away eventually.
