In any type of home based business it is important that training and support is available 24/7 and the rewards you get from your efforts increase with more work. This helps to keep you motivated to reach your goal. To reach that goal there is one more important step: That is to set out a business plan (or your action plan). Part of any action plan is to write down your goals and make yourself accountable to those goals.

When setting out your action plan you start by what you want to achieve in 5 years. This goal setting within your plan then has to be set out in smaller sections. So that your business plan can achieve this end, the means is to set out these goals in what you want to achieve in one year, then what you need to do to get to your six month target, one month target, one week target and subsequently what you are going to do today to keep in line with your business / action plan. Write all these things down and put the plan in front of you and then check off everything you have achieved. If you meet your target earlier, don’t stop, re-calculate a new target and go from there. After a few months of setting goals and achieving them, you may be able to have a short break to recharge and then start again. Motivation is the key to success as well as a good work ethic.

Remember that should you fail to work and keep to your action plan, then your business will falter. This is true in whatever you do. Internet and conventional business have one major thing in common – Action leads to success. Stop your action and your business can slow down, decline or maybe even stop altogether! Sure, when the business is going well you can slow down because you want to have more free time (who doesn’t?), but action for a few hours a week will maintain your business at the very least, but because of the experience you will have gained over time it will more likely grow even more.

Network marketing or Internet marketing is a skill, but it is a skill that needs action and learning. Something we all do every day of our lives is to learn something new however trivial. New skills are always useful to us and as long as we adopt the new things we have learned in the right way, we can achieve even more in our home based business.

The action plan needs all these things:

• Goal setting and accountability to our own action,
• Training from other experts in our field and being teachable so we can adopt what we learn,
• Train others so with their success we become more successful – remember success breeds success
• Be consistent and update your action plan regularly to achieve even more.
