Obagi Professional – C Serum & how does it work ?

I am using Obagi Clenziderm on my face because i have mild acne with red spots on my right cheek. I bought the product online and didnt visit a dermatologist. Now, i would like to know what is the purpose of C serum and how does it work ? Will i be needing it too ? I am curious and i would like to order it online if i think it would help my acne scars. I am on my 30s btw.thanks.
