What do you think about this baby shower idea?
My sister is having her third baby in September. I don’t think she wants the same old baby shower and she doesn’t need a whole lot of things for the new baby. I am thinking about throwing a spa themed party where a person from BeautiControl will come out and do hand and foot treatments for her and her friends. I’m worried that people will think that it’s too much to come to a party where they may feel like they have to buy something and also buy a gift for the expectant mother. Any thoughts/ideas?
Sorry but bad idea. That is almost like having a bridal shower /pampered chef party. My sister-in-law did that and it was so tacky. I think people would be mad if they showed up with a gift in hand and then were expected to shell out more money for spa stuff.
If she doesn’t need a lot of stuff for the baby then have a baby celebration or cookout. Technically for your 3rd child you are not supposed to have a shower, but definitely have a celebration.
