Does Neutrogena Tone Correcting Concentrated Serum actually work?

My mom has been having some issues with her skin tone lately, she’s light brown and has been getting darker in random areas on her face. I am pretty sure it is due to stress and she basically refuses to go to a dermatologist to get cream or anything for it and I just saw the commercial for the Neutrogena stuff and I was just curious and wanted to know (from someone that has been using it for a while, please) if it actually works? Thanks!

Yes, so far. I saw the commercial and thought I will try it and if it doesn’t work I’ll blast it on the internet because it’s wrong to get black people’s hopes up for no reason. We’ve been waiting years for something that really works on dark spots that’s over the counter. I’m medium dark and I have little dark spots from acne all over. I’m on Day 11 of the 14 days they claim it takes to even your skin tone and my friend at work said she notices the difference, now she wants to try it. The first few days I thought it wasn’t working, but it’s slowly evenly balancing out my face and giving me a nice glow. I think they finally got it right.

The expensive alternative is a product call Cosmelan; I tried that too. It’s about $2-500 for an extremely small jar, but it targets and gets rid of dark spots in about a week, very drastic and good, but too expensive. They probably have a smaller amount of the same ingredients as Cosmelan so it’s cheaper. I need to read the ingredients.

I cleanse with neutrogena pore refining cleanser, tone with generic witch hazel, then I use the tone correcting moisutizer during the day under my makeup because it has the spf 30 and the concentrated serum at night. I think this combination is finally working for me, so if your mom tries this for exactly 14 days she will see a difference. My worst dark spot is almost gone. I hope it keeps up and evens my whole face completely.

Don’t buy it at rite aid because it’s like $20 there, but it’s only about $15 at the grocery store like Albertsons.
