How to fix an eye problem?

I’ve recently had a problem wherein my vision seems to be shifting, when both eyes are open, to the right eye. I can feel the left eye not seeing much. When either eye is open alone, it looks fine. In addition, I am a computer science student, and my monitor is causing me eye strain. Could this be a cause, and what is the solution?
